Production Engineer

We Recruit Talent are looking for a motivated and dynamic Production Engineer to join our client in Halifax. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimising manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality products are produced efficiently and cost-effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

•Identify and implement production processes for new products.

•Design systems to integrate new products and improve existing ones.

•Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental policies.

•Support quality accreditations (e.g. IATF 16949, ISO14001).

•Develop and maintain strong relationships across teams and clients.

•Design and source fixtures, tooling, and equipment.

•Plan maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and manage workflow.

•Lead continuous improvement initiatives and solve technical issues.

•Contribute to product development and market opportunities.

Skills & Qualifications:

•Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar, with hands-on experience.

•Experience with Solidworks, FMEA, DFM & DFA techniques.

•You should have a strong technical/engineering management background, with the ability to drive value, reduce costs, and improve business operations.

•Experience in areas like ultrasonic welding, basic electronics, and electro-mechanical assemblies is a plus.

•Strong problem-solving and process improvement abilities.
