Engineering Manager

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to join our client specialising in rotating equipment in Milton Keynes.

Key Responsibilities:

•Lead the engineering team to provide technical support for aftermarket solutions in rotating equipment (pumps/turbines) and associated equipment.

•Coach, develop, and mentor team members, encouraging continuous learning and improvement.

•Oversee the workload of the engineering team, ensuring effective mobilisation for customer site commissioning activities.

•Integrate and coordinate subcontractor support as needed.

•Contribute to the creation of Risk Assessments and Method Statements.

•Maintain comprehensive record-keeping for future reference and shared lessons learned.

•Work with supply chain teams to drive cost-effective solutions and margin improvements.

•Promote a positive Health & Safety culture, ensuring adherence to company policies (HR/EHS/Security).

•Lead large technical projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

•Produce engineering drawings using 3D CAD (SolidWorks).

•provide technical expertise in delivering high-quality aftermarket solutions for pumps, turbines, and associated equipment used across sectors such as EFW, Defence, Power Generation, Pulp, and Sugar

Key Qualifications & Experience:

•Mechanical / controls-based qualification to degree level, or equivalent work-based experience

•Extensive experience with rotating equipment (pumps/turbines) service work, particularly installation, commissioning, and fault-finding.

•Advanced knowledge of rotating equipment, its design, operation, and maintenance.

•The ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

•Proficiency in 3D CAD packages (preferably SolidWorks).

•Experience in commissioning turbomachinery equipment.

•Experience working at customer sites.

•Knowledge of HSE frameworks, at least to IOSH level.

•Ability to conduct POWRA (Pre-Operational Work Risk Assessments) as required.

Must be able to obtain SC Clearance for this role.

Salary- £60,000- £70,000
