Engineering Buyer

We are recruiting for an Engineering Buyer to join a leading  manufacturing client based in Birmingham on a permanent basis. Hiring due to an increased workload and the client is looking to expand their team.

Key Responsibilities:

•Develop and implement sourcing strategies using Category Management processes.

•Manage all commercial aspects of sourcing, including spend analysis, tendering, and awards.

•Source and evaluate new products for cost savings and efficiencies.

•Negotiate and maintain supplier agreements and conduct supplier performance reviews.

•Drive cost reductions, VAVE activities, and report savings against targets.

•Support cross-divisional projects and initiatives.

•Convert requisitions into purchase orders and ensure on-time delivery.

•Update the SAP system and manage potential delivery shortages.

•

Skills & Experience:

•Experience in a purchasing role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.

•Experience with Castings, Forgings, or Machined Parts.

•Strong working knowledge of SAP is highly advantageous.

Salary- £35,000- £40,000
